Founded by Engr. Sujit Goswami in collaboration with renowned economist Tapan Chowdhury, SGTC is built on a foundation of over 45 years of civil engineering and operational expertise. The founders have worked across USA, India, and the Middle East—witnessing and contributing to the UAE’s dynamic construction evolution. This legacy of excellence, paired with a forward-looking approach, has made SGTC a trusted name in construction materials and solutions.
Engr. Sujit Goswami
Engr. Sujit Goswami is a seasoned civil engineer with over 45 years of leadership experience across India, the UAE, Oman, and Qatar
As CEO and co-founder of SGTC, he brings a deep understanding of end-to-end project delivery—from design to execution—spanning residential, commercial, hospitality, and large-scale infrastructure developments.
Known for his strategic insight, cross-cultural collaboration, and commitment to quality, Engr. Goswami continues to lead SGTC with vision, integrity, and a results-driven approach.
Tapan Chowdhury
An accomplished Economics graduate, Tapan Chowdhury brings over 45 years of diverse operational experience across multiple sectors in the USA and Canada.
His expertise includes customer relations, cash and risk management, strategic planning, budgeting, resource allocation, team leadership, cost analysis, sales, project management, P&L oversight, and labor law compliance.
Renowned for his proactive mindset and dedication to excellence, he consistently drives efficient, client-focused operations. As General Manager, he plays a key leadership role in SGTC’s trading platform, using his cross-industry insight to deliver tangible and lasting value.
Soumya Goswami
Soumya Goswami holds a degree from the Institute of Hotel Management and a master’s from IIM Lucknow.
With over 14 years of diverse leadership experience across hospitality, banking, and insurance, he has successfully led teams as a Branch Manager in India and as an HR and Business Development Manager for leading hotel groups in Oman and Qatar.
Recognized for his strategic thinking and strong people management skills, Soumya plays a vital role at SGTC, collaborating closely with the CEO and General Manager to drive growth and advance our business development efforts.
Renee Chowdhury
Renee Chowdhury is an accomplished litigator and Head of the Legal Department, known for her strong legal acumen and client-focused approach. With a global upbringing in the USA and Canada and legal education in the UK, she brings an international perspective to her work. A licensed lawyer in Ontario since 2022, Renee has handled complex family law cases and contributed to critical initiatives at the Attorney General’s Office.
Her leadership in legal strategy is complemented by her background in digital marketing, enhancing her communication and outreach skills. Now, she is poised to transition into corporate law in the UAE, bringing with her a wealth of cross-border experience and a commitment to excellence.
